Rev 12:1-5 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars... Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.
This glorious woman represents the glorious Body of Christ - those who obey and keep His words.
Unfortunately, many unlearned theologians teach that the glorious woman was Israel and the Male Child was Jesus. Israel was in complete blindness when they rejected and killed our Lord Jesus, so how can it be glorious?
Who then is this Male Child?
1. Rule with a Rod of Iron
Rev 2:18-20 "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, 'These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: "I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols."
Our Lord can see into our hearts. If a pastor encourages his church to commit adultery, immediately the whole congregation will rebuke him. In this Thyatira church, the false prophetess (wolf in sheepskin) taught them heresies, which seduced the sheep to:-
1. love the world and the things therein (committing adultery or sexual immorality with the world in Jam 4:4)
2. accept worldly or demonic doctrines (food offered to idols instead of the pure bread of life).
Brethren, when you are caught in this type of heretic church, you have to overcome by exposing these heresies. If the leadership refuses to repent, leave the church and do not be a partaker of their sins.
Rev 2:26-27 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations -- 'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels' -- as I also have received from My Father;"
2. To the Throne of God
Rev 3:14, 17-18 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God... Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see."
This church though rich, powerful and not in need, was spiritually miserable, wretched, poor, blind and naked. These are the last days rich and powerful churches and congregations, who are robbing God by hoarding His money in properties, stock market, deposits in banks, etc.
Those, who reject and expose the wicked works of the church leadership, have opposed the heresies of prosperity teaching, hyper grace, etc., and have faithfully kept His words will sit on the throne with Jesus.
Rev 3:21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
The male Child represents all godly Christians who had overcome worldly temptations, deceptions of Satan and heresies since the New Testament church.
