Mat 7:6 " Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces."
Giving what is holy to Dogs
Dogs are depraved Christians, who having known the way of righteousness, refused to accept the truth of love. Their selfishness and covetousness prevented them from helping and giving to the poor and needy, thus leading them to be faithless to God's love. They will rather quench the conviction of Holy Spirit than to give away their earthly treasure.
[ 1The 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit.]
It is impossible to teach these dogs to keep our Lord's commandments and words of loving and caring for one another (holy), which they had earlier vomitted out.
These dogs will condemn the teachings of truth. Because of their love of money, they hide behind heresies such as 'Prosperity gospel', 'Positive Confession', 'Hyper Grace', Divine Health' etc.
Casting Pearls to Swine
2 Pet 2:22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."
Pigs are unbelievers. Though they have understood the gospel message and have confessed Jesus as the personal Saviour, but they did not believe Him in their hearts for they refused to crucify the flesh.
Gal 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
What are Pearls?
Rev 21:21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
The 'Pearl' is the entrance into the New Jerusalem or Kingdom of God. Only those who are no longer worldly but have set their heart to lay treasures in heaven can have the opportunity to enter in.
1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Mat 13:45-46 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it."
When the rich merchant found this precious pearl - the entrance to the kingdom of God, he went to sell all he had, and followed our Lord Jesus, so that he can enter through it.
Mat 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces
To teach unbelievers, who are worldly and covetous, to sell all and give to the poor before they can follow Jesus is insanity to them. These dogs and swine will turn around to mock, persecute and destroy us.
But godly Christians, who sincerely love our Lord Jesus with truth, and the love for the brethren, will rejoice in keeping His commandments and words for they want to be transformed into His image so that they can eternally be with Him in New Jerusalem.
