Failure of Old Covenant (SD45)

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Since men were wicked and refused to follow their conscience (knowing good and evil) of walking upright, God had no other choice but to make the covenant with Abraham.
Gen 3:22 Then the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"

Deu 9:23-24 Likewise, when the Lord sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying, 'Go up and possess the land which I have given you,' then you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and you did not believe Him nor obey His voice. You have been rebellious against the Lord from the day that I knew you.
God sent Moses to deliver the Israelites from Pharaoh with many signs and wonders. He opened up the red Sea to allow the Israelites to walk across any killed all the Egyptian army pursuing them. He gave them manna from heaven as food and water flowing out from the rock. In Kadesh Barnea when the Lord sent them to possess the Promised Land, they rebelled for they feared the high wall and giants there. But as soon as God disallowed them from entering Canaan Land and that they will all die in the he wilderness, they went up to fight the Canaanites against God's order.
*Brethren, aren't we not like the Israelites?*
Filled with unbelief when He takes us to walk the difficult, dangerous and narrow way. We only want riches and comfort and reject suffering, poverty and sickness.
We rebel and reject His painful trials, testings and tribulations.
Isn't it true that many Christians are living in the wilderness - not knowing God's will, plan and direction?

Forty years in the Wilderness
To keep the Israelites from going to idolatry and wickedness, God Himself came down to dwell amongst them in the Temple of God. During the day a pillar of cloud will be seen above the temple and at night they will see the pillar of fire. God revealed His attributes to the Israelites through His servants.
God also gave the conditions of His covenant with them. God gave them the priesthood and taught them the sacrifices and feasts to stay as His holy people. God taught them the Mosiac Law so that they can avoid sinning.
Brethren, we must not commit any of the moral sin in the Old Covenant
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."

Anointed with the Holy Spirit
Jer 7:25-26 Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them. Yet they did not obey Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers.
Warnings of God's prophets were ignored, and even God's appointed servants anointed with the Holy Spirit failed Him.
Jer 5:30-31  "An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?"
Isn't it true that Christians today love lies (blessings and prosperity) of false prophets and depraved pastors instead of truth?
