Mosiac Law and Prophets (SD48)

Mat 5:17-19 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Our Lord Jesus came to fulfill the Law (Mosiac) and the Prophets.
The Law was given to Moses and recorded in the Torah (5 books of Moses). In the Mosiac Law were 1. Religious law - Temple of God, priesthood and the various religious feasts, rites and rules
2. Moral and Social law - Commandments including the ten commandments and teachings

Religious Laws Fulfilled

1. Temple of God - His body was the temple of God

2. Priesthood - He was the High Priest in the order of Melchizedek

3. Sacrificial Lamb -  He was the Lamb of God

4. Jewish Feasts -
A) On the cross, He was the Passover Lamb and He (Word) was also the unleavened Bread
B) His resurrection was the feast of the harvest of first fruit to God
C) Spirit of Christ dwelling in the physical bodies of Christians thus fulfilling the feast of Tabernacle (dwelling in booths - Lev 23:33-43)
Since Jews do not believe that our Lord Jesus was the Messiah, therefore they are waiting for the Messiah to come and celebrate  these 3 feasts with them.
However, if Christians are still celebrating the feast of tabernacles (or any other Jewish feast) with the blind Israelites (Jews), then they are as blind as the Israelites.
We thank God that our Lord Jesus had fulfilled the religious law so that in Jesus name we can pray and worship our loving Father in Spirit and in truth at anytime and anywhere.

Heb 8:13 In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
Christians must not keep any Jewish feast or any part of the Old Covenant, otherwise they are under the curse.
Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."

Moral and Social Law Fulfilled
A) Mosiac Law - God stated clearly the moral and social law in the many commandments and teachings in the Torah.
B)  The Prophets - God warned and taught the Israelites of the sins, mistakes and abominations to avoid.
We thank God that we can fulfill the moral and social law (in fact all Mosiac Law and the Prophets) by loving God with all our heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbours as ourselves.
Mat22:37-40 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. Brethren And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

A New Commandment
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
We thank God that our Lord Jesus out of His great love for men came to earth to suffer and die for us so that we too can suffer and love one another as Jesus had love us .
