Jesus' Commandments-7 (SD64)

Where is your Heart?
Mat 6:19-20 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Our Lord Jesus warned us not to lay up for ourselves treasures on earth for if we do that then we love the world more than God. That was why our Lord insisted that all those who wants to follow Him must give up all his earthly treasures.
Mark 10:21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."
Mat 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."

Is your Eye Single or Evil?
Mat 6:22 "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is single (good), your whole body will be full of light."
When we focus (single) to please and love God, then we will find that we really love people and care for their welfare. We love to help, give and sacrifice for their betterment.
Unfortunately, the newer versions had diluted its true meaning from 'single' to 'good'.
Col 3:1-2 if then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Mat 6:23a "But if your eye is evil (bad), your whole body will be full of darkness."
Eye is evil -  covetousness or lust of the eye, then they are only interested in self benefits.
Note - Newer versions again have destroyed its meaning.
Salvation of this type of people is a big question.
Col 3:5-7 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

Beware of Depraved Christians
Mat 6:23b ".. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!"
When a Christian has lost the light of the Holy Spirit within him, he is in complete darkness and may have lost his salvation. His darkness (unrighteousness, lies, sins, deceptions, covetousness, addictions and wickedness) is so great that even non believers will not dare to follow his works of wickedness.
Brethren, when you are deceived, misled or cheated by so-called anointed pastors, church leaders and Christians, do not be alarmed for all these depraved, false christs and false prophets were predicted to appear in the last days.
2 Tim 3:1-7 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
