The Good Will Of God (SD25)

Mat 7:21  "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven."
Please note that only those who do the will of God can enter the kingdom of heaven. It is God's will that we love Him with all our hearts, stay away from sins and abominations, do good and righteous works, forgive one another, etc.
Heb 13:20-21  Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Rom12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

God's will can be classified into 3 categories:
  1. Goodwill
  2. Acceptable will and
  3. Perfect will of God
The Good Will of God
Out of God's goodness and love, that He sent His only begotten Son to be made flesh and died on the cross to be the propitiation of our sins. He rose on the third day so that whosoever believes in Jesus, the Lamb of God will be saved from eternal damnation. Brethren, it is God's will that all mankind is saved and this burden to bring salvation to all and to ensure that their salvation remains is given to us.
To have a clearer understanding of this good will of God, we can place ourselves in the outer court of the tabernacle. Our Lord Jesus had been offered as the sacrificial Lamb. Having believed and accepted Him, His Holy Spirit dwells within us as the seal of redemption. We are cleansed of all our sins but since our old man had not been crucified on the bronze Altar, we will continue to sin. We thank God that He is full of love and longsuffering so that whenever we confess our sin, the blood of Jesus cleanses us of all our sins.
We are supposed to be taught by holy priesthood, but covetous and defiled priests too could also minister here (e.g sons of Eli).

1Sam 2:12, 16-17  Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the Lord... And if the man said to him, “They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires,” he would then answer him, “No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force.” Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
The sons of Eli (who were also priests) distorted the word of God and taught heresies for financial gain causing the Israelites to err. Similarly, depraved and covetous pastors and leaders having lost the fear of God, will distort His words and teach and practice heresies for financial gain. Beware, brethren of these wolves.
Eph 4:21-24  if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Brethren, until we present ourselves as the living sacrifice on the bronze Altar of sacrifice, we will not be able to understand His will and do His good will.
