Mark 10:42 But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, "You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them."
All full time workers (including pastors, leaders, etc), who lord over the congregations and behave as lords and masters as though they own the churches, are not transformed. These cannot be servants of God . Fellow pastors, let's live soberly, godly and holy by following His example of humility.
Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ
Humility of our Lord Jesus
Mark 10:43-45 "Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Our Lord Jesus the Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth was born among the animals in the shed and to a poor carpenter's family. Only poor shepherds welcome Him into this world. He was poor and needed women to support His ministry. At His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, He was on a donkey (not chariot), only children praised Him (not trumpeters heralding Him). He washed His disciples' feet and died for all mankind.
Brethren, as His servants we must imitate Him in love, humility, servanthood and a simple lifestyle.
IJohn 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
Humility of John the Baptist
Mat 3:4; 11:11 Now John himself was clothed in camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.... "Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."
John the Baptist, a true prophet was clothed only with camel skin and ate only locusts and wild honey. Our Lord told us that those who live luxuriously are royalties or businessmen. So all those who claim to be servants of God but live luxuriously are false servants since they are neither businessmen nor royalties.
Luke 7:25-26 "But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings' courts. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet."
Humility of Peter and John
Act 3:6 Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
Peter and John served God faithfully, performed many miracles, mightily used by God, yet they were penniless. All those who want to follow our Lord must lay down everything at His feet.
Luke 18:28 Then Peter said, "See, we have left all and followed You."
Mat 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
Brethren, it is sickening to see rich, covetous and depraved prophets, pastors and televangelists ordering our Lord God Almighty, to perform their demands of healings, prosperities, blessings, etc.
Brethren, do not be partakers with these wolves and heretics.
