From Mat 6:25-32, our Lord Jesus encourages us that He is the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth who cares and feeds the insignificant birds in the air, will He not care, nourish, comfort and love us, who are His beloved children.
Mat 6:25 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor any out your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?"
Our lives are more important than the food, clothes and drinks than we use. Living our Iives to please Him is more rewarding and meaningful than enjoying the pleasures of this world. The abundant life that He gave to Paul is enviable. Paul's greatest joy was trusting God and leaving God to look after his future. His joy in experiencing the empowering of the Holy Spirit, the presence of God comforting and encouraging him, and also his willingness to suffer for the salvation of man.
2 Cor 6:4-10 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
Mat 6:26-30 "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?"
Our Lord used the things around us to strengthen our faith in Him. Until today no one can make a leaf nor a bird that is alive. When we examine the complexity and the beauty of His creation, it is awesome. Brethren, let's not be like the foolish, but believe and trust Him, otherwise we are no better than unbelievers, who will have to face His wrath.
Rom 1:18-22 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools,
Therefore Do Not Worry - this is also our Lord's Commandment
Mat 6:31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
Brethren, whenever we worry of material things, we show our unbelief in Him as God, our loving Father.
